Black Olive Tapenade and Mozzarella Bites

To me this is a “Get Frisky” recipe.

To be enjoyed with a delightful glass of red wine,

in front of a roaring fire with your honey!

Fresh Mozzarella balls—the kind

that’s stored in water. YUM!!!!

Olive Tapenade and Mozzarella Bites

French Baguette sliced

FRESH Mozzarella sliced ¼ inch thick

Grape Tomatoes cut in half

Tapenade—recipe follows

Tapenade

8 oz kalamata olives, pitted and minced

3 garlic cloves, minced

2 TBS capers, rinsed and drained

2 TBS minced fresh Italian parsley

2 tsp minced lemon peel

Freshly ground pepper to taste

3 TBS extra virgin olive oil

In a small bowl, combine olives, garlic, capers, parsley, anchovy, lemon peel, and black pepper.  Add extra virgin olive oil and mix thoroughly.

Slice and broil to toast baguette on one side.

When brown flip and top with mozzarella, return to the oven and melt cheese.

Top with tapenade with sliced tomatoes.
